About

Hi and Welcome! These are my pages, with random writings and blog posts about cloud services and related technologies. No, this is not a meteorological site, nor is it a religious one, but rather a site about cloud services, such as Microsoft 365 or Azure, and technologies related to these cloud services.

And I am the author: My name is Kimmo Bergius, and I work at a Finnish IT company called Sulava (you can find Sulava’s web pages with some blog posts in both Finnish and English here). In my day job I work with our customers introducing and migrating their systems to cloud technologies, helping customers in utilizing the cloud and increasing their productivity through cloud services, securing the cloud services, and creating new offerings for the Sulava portfolio. We at Sulava mainly work with various Microsoft cloud services, but we also have a lot of expertise on the more traditional, OnPrem Microsoft server product portfolio.

I have worked at Sulava for just about nine years. Before that I was at Microsoft for 13 years, and before that – a looooong time ago – I used to run a small training & consultancy company called Bitwit. My experience with Microsoft products extends more than 30 years, all the way back to the original versions of Windows NT and the BackOffice product line, and beyond (I vaguely remember doing stuff on Xenix, DOS, the early versions of Windows, OS/2, AS/400, various different Unix environments, Linux, and so on). It has been quite a ride so far, and if you believe keynote speeches, the best is yet to come – we’ll see…

As mentioned, this blog contains my writings and posts about cloud services. I mainly write about things like Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, Intune and Microsoft 365, but may also at times cover the more traditional products such as Windows Server or Exchange. I may occasionally even venture into areas covering desktop or mobile phone, who knows. All of these blog posts and the opinions expressed in them are my own.

You can post comments to the articles, and I’ll he happy to answer any queries you might have. If you need to reach me, you can do so at the following email addresses: Work Email or Personal Email. You can also reach me on Twitter @kbergius and find some additional information on LinkedIn.
